Virtual Book Launch for Furnace and Fugue: A Digital Edition of Michael Maier’s “Atalanta fugiens” (1618) with Scholarly Commentary.

This open-access digital book, which Tara Nummedal (Brown University) and Donna Bilak (Columbia University) co-edited, was just published with the University of Virginia Press as part of their Studies in Early Modern German History series. On August 25th they will give a tour of the book, talk about its contributions to the study of early modern European science, music, art, and print culture, and consider its possibilities for research, teaching, performance, and digital publishing.
