Scotland’s Historians of Science network is running an online conference on 9 June. Pre-recorded presentations of up to 20 minutes are grouped into sessions of 3 or 4 papers. Each session will be followed by live Q&A discussion with the presenters. All talks and links will be available online from late evening 8th June.

Panel 2: Early Modern Science

Richard Oosterhof (Edinburgh) Inventions of Proof: Editing Euclid in the Renaissance.

Meredith Houlton (St Andrews) Elementa Geometriae by William Sanders.

Adam Richter (Toronto) David Abercromby’s Anti-Catholic Science.

Lewis Ashman (Edinburgh) The Brevity of the Great Inventor: Colin Maclaurin, Newton, and the Fluxions Debate.

3pm (BST) – Panel 2 discussion **live** with Lewis Ashman, Meredith Houlton, Adam Richter, Richard Oosterhoff. Chair: Isobel Falconer (St Andrews) .
